WOMEN’S HOCKEY.

EXECUTIVE AIEETING. Those present at a meeting of the executive of the Manawatu Women'* I Hockey Association last evening were Messrs A. E. Black bourn (chairman), L. Martin, D. Wilton, H. Alilne, J. Kearns, Airs J. Kearns and Air R. Rrace (secretary). Correspondence from the New Zealand Women’s Hockey Association and the Horowhenua Women’s Hockey Association as to a proposal by the latter body to be transferred to the Wellington district was before the meeting.—The executive saw no reason why Horowhenua should want to transfer, and decided to object until a reasonable explanation was received.

A letter of thanks is to be sent the Manawatu Hockey Association for a donation of £7 7s. The donors are to be asked, to appoint a delegate on the ladies’ executive. The Rualiine Association forwarded a challenge for the Nopera Cup and August 14 is to be suggested as a suitable date. It was decided to send to the Feilding Association a letter congratulating it on winning the Harper Cup from Manawatu. Air Wilton reported on the bad state of Milverton Park and it was decided to approach the City Council for an alternative area. An A and B trial match is to b* played on July 31.
