A stained glass “King George V. window.” commemorating the Jubilee, was dedicated at the ancient chapel of the Savoy, Strand, London. Skeletons thought to be of soldiers killed during the siege of Karingtorl, Berkshire, by Cromwell’s forces were unearthed during building operations on Folly Hill. AVorkmen were digging foundations for an observation tower to be erected on the hill when a collo--'- •' ’ --"vi —'<1 human bones.
