DEATH FROM INJURIES.

MR G. G. COOPER. As a result of the injuries he received when a motor car ho was driving was struck by an express train at the AVe.st Street crossing on AVednesday last, Mr George G. Cooper, farmer, of Opiki, passed away at the Hospital yesterday. Mr Cooper was critically injured, and suffered a fractured skull.

At the time of the accident Mr Cooper, who was 49 years of age,. was engaged in removing his furniture from Opiki to Milson, having just completed tho purchase of a milk run in the city. He was an Englishman by birth and after about seven years at Kiwitea went to Opiki where he resided for the past three years. Ho was a member of tbe Opiki School Committee for one year, resigning office when he decided to shift from the district. Left to mourn his passing are hie 'widow, one son and three daughters.
