NO. 60 HIGHWAY.

(To the Editor.) Sir,—As a ratepayer I am very pleased that our settlers have taken up the question of tal-sealing No. bu highway. It is high time that something was done to the road. During flood weather we have to carry practicallv all the Levin-Foxton-Palmer-ston ‘North traffic, and I note that the Manawatu County Council P ro " poses to close the Whirokino R° a d to traffic during flooding. I fee sure the Kairanga County Council will back up the settlers in their effort to have the road tar : sealed. It is suggested that a portion from Beckett’s corner (Linton) to Massey College should be tar-sealed. It is a pity that the whole length from the Tokomaru railway line cannot be done.—l am, etc., RATEPAYER. Palmerston North, June 24.
