LAWN TENNIS.

FRENCH WOMEN’S TITLE. Madame H. Sperling, the winner of the 1935 French championship, has also to her credit the women’s singles championships of Germany, Denmark, Italy and Ireland, and has twice been a finalist at AA imbledon. She is again being erroneously referred to as French, but is, of course, a German by birth, having already established renown as a tennis player as Fraulein Krahwinkel. Some time ago she was married to Air H. Sperling, a Dane, of Copenhagen.
