THE DOMINION NAVIES. DRAFTING OF RATINGS. AIR FORCE RECRUITS. (United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) Received May 27, 9.30 a.m. LONDON, Dlay 26. A decision of considerable significance to Empire defence is announced in tlio Fleet Orders. All British Naval ratings henceforth will bo liable to duty in tho Dominions’ navies. Volunteers will ho sought first, and if insufficient aro available the ratings will bo drafted for servico in tho Dominions, tho same as for Royal Navy service abroad.
Thousands of young men, seizing the chance of a career, have formed queues at the Air Force recruiting depots in response to the Air Dlinistry’s appeal. At least two thousand called at Victory House, Kingsway. Five hundred applied to the Air Dfinistry, wliilo written applications exceed three thousand.
