South America. —Carcases mutton, 19,101; carcases lamb, 516,142; quarters beef, frozen, 2146; chilled, 437,359. The shipments from New Zealand to the United Kingdom for the same period were as follow: —Carcases mutton, 244,678; carcases lamb, 1,180,674; quarters beef frozen, 36,248: chilled, 5467.
