(From Our Own Correspondent.) FOXTON, March 14. It is possible that Cr R. J. Thompson, "father of the Foxton Borough Council,” rnay not seek re-election this year. Approached at Monday night s meeting by the Mavor with a request that he again offer his services at the forthcoming election, he said he was uncertain. The Mayor (Mr M. E. Perreau) thanked Cr Thompson for the regular manner m which he had. attended meetings of the council over a period of years.

On the ground that Foxton is not sufficiently served with recreation grounds, Cr. F.' Robinson sought improvements to Victoria Park at Monday night’s council meeting.
