BOWLING.
TAKARO CUP MATCH. Representing the Pahiatua Club, a bowling rink consisting of Ghatwin, Mills, Peterson, Britland (skip) visited the Northern Club yesterday in quest of the Takaro Cup, but were defeated, 26 —18, by the holders, whose rink consisted of Palmer, Lynch, AYort, Rabone (skip). Four heads were played before the holders opened their account with a five and took tlie lead by one point. Scpring six on the eighth head they increased their lead, while at the eleventh they wore leading 14 —12, hut then picked up considerably and scored on the four successive heads to lead 20 —12 at tho 15th. Pahiatua next scored a two and a three. Two on the eighteenth placed the holders in a nice position, Pahiatua then scoring a single. The visitors, however, then deteriorated and the holders added a single on the 20th and a three for the last to win comfortably by 20 points to 18. TERRACE END RINKS. The following rinks will represent Terrace End against AA’oodville at AVoodville on Saturday:—Andrews, Luke, Rennett, J. AV. Smith (skip); Wills, McKinnon. Bee, Tantrum (skip); Maule, Toogood, Rogers, Snell (skip); Christie, Mills, Pearce, Davidson (skip); Knowles, Day. A. J. Smith, O’Shea (skip); Plank, Fairey, Lightfoot, Johnson (skip); Skinner, Thomas, Baldwin, Gordon (skip); Simpson Morris, Stewart, Childs (skip). The following Terrace End skips are requested to liave their Easter rinks at the green at 2 p.m. sharp at. the week-end:- —Johnson. Tantrum, Childs, O’Shea, Davidson, Dixon.
