Tho AVellington Acclimatisation Society reported considerably more success than was at first experiened with the raising of pheasants at tho game farm at Paraparaumu, and 80 birds were to bo released in various parts of tlie province. Steps were to be taken by the Ilorowhenua County Council to break away from the Wellington Hospital district. It was proposed to take over the Otaki Hospital and form a separate district.
