A PERFECT WICKET. KINGSTON, Alarch 11. Playing against Jamaica, AI.C.C. made 321 in their first innings. Johnson took 5 wickets for 71 and Beckford 5 for 90. Jamaica at stumps had lost 4 wickets for 247 (Barrow SH, Headley 127, Stephenson 41). The wicket was perfect and the English bowlers ineffective. Arnott, of Glamorgan, who is spending a holidayin the AA’est Indies, was brought in to rest Hammond and proved the most successful bowler, taking 3 wickets for 2S runs.
