ST. JOHN’S v. ST. PAUL’S. St. Paul’s Tennis Club beat St. John’s in a friendly match played on Saturday afternoon, the scores being 21 sets and 134 games to three sets and 67 games. The following are the results, St. John’s players being mention first:— Men’s singles.—Groombridge beat Bush, 6—5; Overend lost to Gibson, 3—6; Simms lost to McNae, I—6; Fisher lost to Osborne, 4—6; AA'orsfold beat Waddell, 6—l; Macintosh lost to Aitken, 2—6. Ladies’ singles.—Miss Barltrop lost to Miss Laing. 2—6; Miss Shepherd lost to Miss Whisker, 2—6; Mrs Macintosh lost to Miss Pearce.
