WELLINGTON STOCK EXCHANGE.

YESTERDAY’S BUSINESS AND PRICES. There was again a good volume of business recorded on tho Wellington Stock Exchange yesterday, prices showing little or no quotable ebungo. Government- loans were steady on a quiet demand. No interest was shown in local body issues. Wright. Stephenson 5 per cent were steady at £97 10s. and Amalgamated Brick, Wellington, 7j per cents., wero wanted at £IOO 10s. There was very little inquiry for bank shares, which showed no change. Australasia sold at £ll 7s, and business was also roported in New Zealand at 49s 3d and Reserve Bank at £6 10s 3d. Financial issues lacked inquiry, Wellington Investment sold at 9s 6d. South British Insurance were easier on sales at 93s 6d and 93s 3d. Westport Coal wore 3d better on a sale at 21s 6d. Breweries showed firmness, especially Now Zealand, which had business at 51s 6d. Miscellaneous industrial and trading issues were practically unchanged. New Zealand Drug had two sales at 80s and Wilsons Cement did further business at 345. Mining issues were quiet. Big River sold at 2s 3d, Consolidated at 15s 6d and Maori Gully at Is 4d. YESTERDAY’S QUOTATIONS.
