PAHIATUA, March 9. Tlio Pahiatua County Council mot to-day, Cr A. AY. Pisset presiding. Tlio Wairarapa Hospital Board advised that the council’s letter proposing a change in representation had been considered, but no reorganisation was to be carried out at present. The letter was received. Mr J. D. Piper wrote regarding the obstruction of river water at Mangatainokn, and the council decided to advise Mr Piper that the persons obstructing right-of-way to water at the Mangatainokn River bridge have no right to stop stock from being watered at tlio Mningatainoka River and any persons doing so are to bo notified that such practice must cease. . The following were appointed to the committee: Mesdames Walker j Kerrison, Williams, Ross, Swanney, Tapp, Bicknell, L Rusden, A. Rusden, Misses Roy, Reid, Reichenbach, Fergus. Pryde and Atkinson. Mrs Walker was elected president and was accorded musical honours Mrs M. C. Marsh has returned from a holiday spent at Tim am and Christchurch. .Captain M. Tyler, of Wairoa, and Lieutenant E. MeChesney, or Wellington, have been appointed to take charge of the local Salvation Army Corps.
