TO GO TO MELBOURNE

HAMILTON, March 10.

A choir of young Maori chiefs and chieftainesses is’ being formed in the Waikato from all over New Zealand and will proceed to Auckland this week, on route for Melbourne, to take part by special invitation in the final functions of the Centenary celebrations. They will he known as the Wainta Maori Choir, and will travel under the patronage of the Methodist Church. When the group is complete there will he members from practically every tribe in New Zealand and the Chatham Islands.
