A return tennis match between Carnarvon A and Glen Oroua A was played at Glen Oroua on Saturday afternoon. The weather was beautifully fine and a most enjoyable time was spent by all. , In the previous match Carnarvon were victorious, but on this occasion the honours rested with Glen Oroua by 14 sets and 114 games to 10 sots and 109 games. Following are tho detailed scores, Glen Oroua players being mentioned first in each case: —Men’s singles: G. G. Beattie beat G. Goldfinch, 6—3; N. Probblc lost to D. Burne, 5—6; L. H. Ihle beat L. G Parlano’visited Feilding on Saturday, accompanied by a team of runners representing the school in the Pcildmg district school sports. A very fair measure of success was met with, some of tho younger members of tho team doing particularly W Mrs J. Rose, of Waipawa, and her sister, Mrs W. Knyvett, of Maharahara after an extended holiday in the South Island recently spent a few days with Mrs b. G. Parlano.
