Our senior boy, Bevan Hall, annexed the open championship and tho 100yds open in the country schools, while Aileen Nix won the open championship and was second in the country schools. Our outstanding runner for this year is Douglas Hill, running under classes for 8 and 9 years, and scoring an easy win. Other successful competitors in their finals were: Lewis Houghton, Bonnie Hill, Maurice Hill, Joan Hill, and Joyce Prentice. Tho friends of Mrs B. 11. Bennett, of Aorangi Road, will regret to learn of the death of her brother, Mr I. Rowlatt, who suddenly passed away in the Dunedin Hospital on Sunday afternoon, while holidaying in that city. Much sympathy is extended 7o his relatives in their bereavement.
