ST. BRIGID’S v. ST. PATRICK’S.

On the St. Brigid’s Club courts at the week-end, a further match in the New Zealand Catholic Lawn Tennis Association’s district competition was played, the homo side beating St. Patrick’s A team, Palmerston North, by the narrow margin of three games. Both sides won 12 sets, but St. Brigid’s prevailed by 114 games to 111. The local club is now leading in the competition, having defeated both Palmerston North teams as well as Levin and tho Wanganui B team. The next match will be with Wanganui A and a win in this will give St. Brigid’s a clear-cut victory. In the event of a reverse tho club will have to decide the issue with

Palmerston North A, which is the next team in position on tho ladder. The following are the details of the match, St. Brigid’s players being mentioned first -
