GENERAL’S ATTITUDE.
FULL AUTHORITY SOUGHT. Received March 4, 10.50 a.m. ATHENS, March 3. Arsenal-Paymaster Sioclios was fatally wounded when presenting the ultimatum to the rebels at the Evzones barracks. He was buried without a demonstration in the presence of a large crowd. A Cannes report says that General Palastiras, in an interview, declared that the present rulers of Greece were more unpopular than ever. “There is a complete rupture of the Government which is really Monarchical and Republican. I will not return to Greece, except with full authority and at the invitation of the people. I shall never accept office with M. Venizelos.” General Palastiras said: “I am a great friend of M. Venizelos. but we do not see things the same way; he is a Parliamentarian and I am a soldier.
