(To the Editor.) Sir, —Lord Bledisloe pronounces this word “Centeenary.” Is this a modern Oxford adaptation? Our books give it as spelt, with an accent on the first syllable. Divided into component parts, this appears to'be correct. \>e also searched in vain for a word used by another speaker, “indentifieil. Will some linguist enlighten us, please.—l am, etc., SCHOOL GIRL.
