GLEX OIIOIJA, Jan. 24. f Last Saturday afternoon a tennis match between the Kaugiotu and G!en Oroua elubri was played at Gion Oroua. __ Loth teams were somewhat below their utsual strength, but the majority of the games were keenly contetsted, kaugiotu .eventually winning by 15 sets and 113 games to 9 sets and 105 games. A light drizzling rain fell at times, causing several interruptions in play, which coneiuded fairly late, but. notwithstanding this an enjoyable time was spent. Afternoon tea was provided by the home team, thanks being expressed by the visitors, hollowing are the detailed results, Kaugiotu players being mentioned first in eaeli ease: —Men’s singlets: Donaldson lost to N. Aicmbers of the School Committee have been busy during the last few days carting si)ingle for the purpose of a concrete banket hall area at the school.
