Miss Margaret Stevenson, aged 22, the prospective Labour candidate for Hornsey, married a son of Sir J. C. Power, a Conservative M.P., at a London registry office. Mr G. Lansbury was one of the witnesses. Miss Stevenson is the daughter of the editor of the Daily Herald and a grand-daugliter of a Labour pioneer in Wales. She temporarily worked as a waitress to study conditions.
