AMPHIRIAN 'PLANE
FOR THE AUSTRALIA. Work on the first of the 24 amphibians for the Australian Air Force is being expedited to enable it to be installed on H.M.S. Australia after the Duke of Gloucester’s return, in fulfilment of Australia’s obligation to the Royal Navy to provide a vessel fully equipped. No Australian cruiser has previously carried aircraft.
