BIG ESTATE LEFT. SERIES OF GENEROUS BEQUESTS Received Januarv 17, 10 a.m. LONDON, Jan. 16. Lord Riddell, the newspaper proprietor, who died recently left £1,838,901, estate duty amounting to £784,021 being paid. The bequests include £IOOO each to Mr Lloyd George and Mr Winston Churchill; £3OOO each to his personal servants; £2OOO to his bookkeeper; £IOOO to his messenger; £SOOO and an annuity of £7OO to his male secretary ; £2OOO and an annuity of £BOO to his woman secretary; £SOO and an annuity of £3OO to his motor driver; six weeks’ salary to all employees of the News of the World; £IOOO to Mr James Braid, the professional at the Walton Heath golf course, of which Lord Riddell was the proprietor ; £2OO each to the two assistants; and £IOO each to other chib employees. In addition there are liberal bequests to other employees, also newspaper employees’ benevolent funds.
