ANNOUNCEMENT BY BRITAIN. THE DOMINION’S SHARE. FOR FIRST QUARTER OF YEAR. (United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.! Received January 17, 1.0 p.m. LONDON, Jan. 16. The Ministry of Agriculture announces the completion of arrangements regulating the imports of meat during the first quarter of 1935. Imports of foreign chilled beef will be 90 per cent, of the imports for the first quarter of 1931-32 and frozen beef, mutton, and lamb 65 per cent. The Dominion arrangements, based on the first quarters of 1932-33-34, are as follow: AUSTRALIA. Beef and veal 187,000 cwt. Mutton and lamb ... 450,000 cwt. Pork 16,700 cwt. NEW ZEALAND. Beef and veal 160,000 cwt. Mutton and lamb ... 800,000 cwt. Pork 75,000 cwt. CANADA. Beef and veal 19,250 cwt. Mutton and lamb ... Nil Pork B,6ooewt. SOUTH AFRICA. Beef and veal 17,030 cwt.
