(From. Our Own Correspondent.) BULLS, Nov. 29. Mrs A. AV. Aihon and Aliss Amon left on AVedhesday evening for Auckland. During tho week several local businessmen visited Wellington amongst the number being Alessrs J. E. Walker, C. H. Edwards, R. J. Ransom and AV. M. Dean. Three local residents, Messrs A. E. Neale, S. Howard and L. Capstick, are at present inmates of the Wanganui Hospital. All aro reported to be progressing favourably. The following games were played on the Bulls bowling green on Wednesday afternoon : —Ellery, Ingram, Dwyer, Stev e.ns (skip) 25 v. Price, Hillier, Archer, Cole (skip) 13; Porrett, Brookie, Wilson (skip) 24 v. Ede, Smart, Ransom (skip) 17. The Bulls Club has been invited to send ono rink to Northern green on Wednesday next to represent tho Alanawatu Centre against Wellington. On Monday afternoon some fifty farmers attended a demonstration of destruction of gorse and blackberry on the Domain. Proficiency examinations were held m the Bulls School on» Thursday, and in addition to local school children many came from Sanson, Parewanui and other schools of tho district. I Air Jas. Bull, of Hunterville, has kind- | ly consented to perform the opening ceremony at the Christmas carnival. The Palmerston North Brass Band has been encoded, and attractions include a carnival j dance, sports meeting, baby show and children’s fancy dress parade.
