INTERESTING FROCKING.
“Lilies of the Field,” a British and Dominions comedy at the Palace Theatre, is of special interest to women because of the marvellous crinolines worn by Miss Winifred Shotter. In contrast to the very modern modes also worn in this picture, they look delightful. Styles of 1860 to 1880 are worn and suit this popular star to perfection. A dance frock in cream taffetas, a mauve tulle Victorian costume and a crinoline frock of glimmering silver sequins are among these wonderful creations designed by Norman Hartnell, famous West End designer, especially for Miss Shotter’s appearance in this picture.
