TRAVEL COMPANIONS.

ARRIVAL IN DOMINION. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Nov. 12. The lives of two retired men who arrived in Wellington to-day by the Ma.unga.nui from San Francisco, each to visit his farmer nephew in New Zealand seem to have been running almost parallel for the last thirty years or so. These two friends are*Dr M. Tancred Stack and Colonel G. A. P. Brown. _ Dr Stack retired from his practice in Liverpool, England, four years ago, after having been in his profession tor 30 years. Colonel Brown retired from the army also four years ago, after 32 years’ service, in which he campaigned in South Africa, West Africa, India, the West Indies, France, and after the Great War, Ireland. Since both their retirements the colonel and the doctor have been travelling together in Switzerland, Italy and the United States. Dr Stack lias come to visit his nephew, Afr AV. Saife. who is stationed at Glendhu, Central Otago. Colonel Brown will see his nephew, Air Anthony Brown, who is farming near Feilding. They will probably return together to England via Java and Singapore, in March or April.
