SEA TERRORS.
The Italian battleships, Vittorio, Veneto, and Littorio, which were laid down recently, will attain the maximum allowed by the Washington Treaty, the naval correspondent of the Times, London, states. They will be of 35,000 tons each, and carry 16in guns. No existing British battleships could overtake or engage on equal terms these Italian ships, whose speed will be from 26 to 30 knots. Britain’s three-battle-cruisers, designed 20 years ago, have 151 in guns.
