COLLEGE STREET SCHOOL.

LADIES’ COMMITTEE

The monthly meeting of the ladies’ committee of tlie College Street School was held at the school last evening. Mrs Bale presided and others present were Mesdames Boshier, Christmas, Holsworth, Laurenson, McLeod, I earson Ross, Templeton, Ward, A\ol]eiman, Watchorn, King, Whyte and Livingstone. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Duck worth, Nicholson, and Gush. It was decided to hold two more meetings of tin s-ewing I>6*b, wliicli ha.s l>eeii a 6 c success. Arrangements for the gala

were further discussed. One successful monthly competition has been conducted, the result of which is announced on another page. A further competition is being arranged for November. It was decided to hold the following stalls: —Sweets, soft drinks and ice cream, jumble, fancy and afternoon tea. It was also decided to organise a bran tub. Great interest is being shown in all the arrangements and everyone connected with the school is confident that the gala will be a most successful function.
