DUTIES ON COTTON.
POSITION IN AUSTRALIA. Received November 13, 8.5 a.m. CANBERRA, Nov. 13. Cabinet has considered the new tariff schedule to he introduced into Parliament shortly, it i-s understood that the cotton duties recently imposed by the Commonwealth Government were reviewed to determine whether an agreement could be reached the Lancashire interests.No decision was reached, but it is possible that certain alterations will be made to meet the situation.
