MR ULM’S FLIGHT.
AIRMAN LEAVES FOR CANADA
LONDON, Nov. 10. Mr C. T. P. Dim left for Canada by the Ascania with his aeroplane. He told the Sun-Herald that loading tests had not been completed mainly owing to the factory’s late delivery. It was essential to travel by the Ascania because she was the last ship before the river freezes; consequently he was completing tests in Canada at the company’s risk and accepting the machine only if successful. He is hoping to arrive in Australia on November 27.
SIR C. KINGSFORD SMITH.
CASE SETTLED
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 9. Catton’s suit against the Lady Southern Cross was settled out of Court to-day for what Catton’s attorneys said was a satisfactory sum, but which Sir Charles Kingsford Smith’s lawyer, Mr Leo Goodman, termed “a nominal sum.”
