SYDNEY, Nov. 9

Showing remarkable accuracy in a high wind, the American professional golfers won three foursomes against Australia at The Lakes course to-day. Results are:—

K. Laffoon and C. Wood (U.S.A.) beat W. Bolger. and Spence, 5 and 4; P. Runyan and H. Cooper (U.S.A.) beat R. Stewart and V. Richardson, 6 and 5; D. Shute and L. Diegel (U.S.A.) beat Naismith and Cohen, 7 and 6. The Americans, who outclassed their opponents, were rarely off the fairway and covered the pin with their seconds, Laffoon and Wood played dazzling golf. The singles will be played to-morrow.
