RESCUES FROM SURF.
TAA 7 0 CHRISTCHURCH BATHERS,
Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 9. After being ill peril for almost hftlf-an-hour, J. Baldwin, of Opawa, a young man, was rescued from the sea at Sumner this afternoon. Another bather who went to his assistance also got into difficulties and two teams of the Sumner' Life Saving Chib had hard struggles in bringing the men ashore. Both were exhausted and had to be resuscitated.
