CHILD DROWNED IN WELL.
FATALITY AT MATAKARAPA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) FOXTON, Nov. 10. A sad drowning accident occurred at Matakarapa yesterday, as a result of which the four-year-old son of Mr Arona McGregor, lost its life. The child, with others, was left in the care of its grandmother while the father was absent at work. They were playing about tho home and late in the afternoon tho grandmother noticed that one was missing. On her making inquiries, tho other children said tho baby was in tho well, and she found tho body floating In the water. Life was then extinct.
