MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
GAMING CHARGES
Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Nov. 9. At the Afagistrate’s Court this afternoon before Mr Bundle, S.AI., James Pearson was charged with keeping a common gambling house at Opolio. Asking for a remand, Chief-Detective Young said that accused had been arrested at his house and lie desired a remand in order to place all the facts before- the Court. A remand was granted until Monday, hail being allowed in accused’s own surety of £SO.
AVilliam Prince was charged at a later sitting of the Court with keeping a common gaming house. Accused pleaded not guilty. Chief-Detective Young said that accused had just been arrested and he asked for a remand for a week. A remand was granted until November 16, bail being allowed in accused’s own recognisance of £SO.
