CALEDONIAN SOCIETY.
FEILDING BODY FORMED
The proposal to form a Caledonian Society in Feilding was finalised on Thursday night, when a large number of supporters attended a meeting. _ Mr J. AYcymss presided and it was decided to form a Caledonian Society to work in conjunction with the Feilding Pipe Band. Mr J. H. McDonald was elected chief and Messrs Jas. AVeymss, Ken Cameron, D. G. Fraser, of Makino, and J. H. McKay, of Apiti, chieftains. Mr E. Pike was elected hon. secretary and Mr A. E. Matheson hon. treasurer. Two auxiliary committees of ladies and gentlemen were also elected. The committee was empowered to have the rules and regulations of the society drawn up. In this connection thanks were accorded Mr D. C. Cullinane for his help in the drawing up of the rules, and he was appointed hon. auditor.
It was decided to open the society on Burns night (January 25).
