SCHOOL ATHLETICS.
ASSOCIATION’S ANNUAL MEETING
The annual meeting of the Feilding and District Public Schools Amateur Athletic Association was held last night, the president (Mr T. Iv. Hay) being in the chair. In moving the adoption of the report (already published), the president referred to the drop in the gate takings at the last sports and also commented on the small increase in the membership, the latter Mr Hay considering quite satisfactory. The credit balance in the association’s finances was also a favourable feature in the activities of 6 the year. The report was adopted and the following officers elected Patron, Mr E. F. Hemingway; president, Mr T. Donaldson: vice-presidents, Messrs C. A. Batt, K. M. Little; committee, Messrs G. H. Elstone, M. C. Amadio, D. Warner, D. Minogue, C. L. Matthews, S. H. Mayne, and the headmaster of Manchester Street school when appointed (teachers), Messrs T. K. Hay, A. C. McCorkindale, S. Amadio, G. J. Fitzpatrick, E. Morgan, J. Penney (citizens); lion, auditor, Mr A. R. Miers; hon. secretary, Mr E. 11. Lange. It was decided that the executive committee meet during the first week in December to draw up the programme for the next sports. The retiring president was accorded the thanks of the -association for his services.
