GIRLS’ HIGH SCHOOL.
A well-attended meeting of the Palmerston North Girls’ High School _ Parents' Association was held last evening to finalise arrangements for the garden _ party to be he'd on the school grounds, Fitzherbert Avenue, on Wednesday, November 21. Conveners of the various ladies’ committees reported progress on the organisation of stalls and other attractions, and the men present were detailed to take charge of different money-raising devices. Mrs Rhodes principal of the school, announced that the physical culture display to be staged by the pupils would be more than usually' attractive, while further interest would be added by a mannequin parade designed to show the work, of the dressmaking and millinery students. There will also be an exhibition of pupils’ work in design and artcrafts. and a very fine display of posters collected from all parts of the world. Competitions are also being hold in needlework and cookery.
