THE CORNWALL DISABLED
Per Press Association
AUCKLAND, Nov. 10. The steamer Cornwall, which left Auckland at 7 o’clock this morning, turned back when she had passed Tiritiri Island owing to engine trouble, and anchored in the stream at 11 o’clock. She later berthed at the wharf where a Hai'bour Board diver is to make an examination. Coming up the harbour, the Cornwall signalled that she could not manoeuvre. She has twin screws, hut returned to port on one propeller. The Cornwall has a considerable quantity of cargo still to discharge at the main southern ports.
