JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS.
TERRACE END SCHOOL.
Starting with a gala da.y at 2 p.m., the Terrace End School jubilee celebrations will commence on Friday next, continuing over Saturday and concluding with a united thanksgiving service at the school on the Sunday afternoon. Elaborate arrangements have been made for an enjoyable scries of reunion functions, as former pupils, are expected from all parts of the Dominion. The organisation of the celebrations has been in hand for some time, and is now completed. There will be a dance at the De Luxe Hall on the Friday evening, and a free "bus trip round the city on Saturday morning for former juipils. On Saturday afternoon the celebrations will be officially opened by the Mayor (Mr A. E. Mansford) Other speakers will he Hon. R. Masters (Minister of Education), Mr .J. A. Nash M.P., Mr E. F Hemingway (chairman of the Wanganui Education Board}, and Mr A. w. Thompson ' headmaster 1. Photographs will be taken and afternoon tea provided free to ex-pupils. Children’s work aiid old photographs will be on exhibition in the school. The City Band is to be in attendance, and displays of folk dancing and drill are to be given by present pupils. 4 jubilee banquet will be held „at the Rosco tea-rooms on the Saturday evenim-
