DEATH OF JOCKEY.
EVIDENCE AT INQUEST. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 9. Evidence that Arthur H. Eastwood, the rider of Manetho in the Jockey Club Handicap on AVednesday, was kicked by Manetho in his struggles to rise was given at the inquest this morning. After the Coroner (Mr E. D. Mosley) had heard the evidence of L. G. Morris, the inquest was further adjourned. Morris said the accident happened in a flash. There was no interference with Manetho, other than his striking the horse in front of him.
