A FIRM MARKET.
It is reported in Wellington that a fair amount of business was being done yesterday in butter for November-De-cember shipment, at 9d a lb, f.o.b. W. Weddel and Co., Ltd,, report dated London, November 7 : —Both markets steady. Butter: Danish, 1245. New Zealand finest, 775. Kangaroo finest, 765.. Cheese: New Zealand white, 53s to 545; coloured, 53s 6d to 545. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Coy., Ltd., have received the following advice from their London house, dated November 7: —Dairy produce (last week’s quotations in parentheses) :—Butter: New Zealand, choicest salted, 76s to 77s per cwt (71s to 725). Market steady. Cheese, white, 54s to 55s per cwt (53s to 545) ; coloured, 54s per cwt (53s to 545). Market quiet.
U.S.A. WHEAT MARKETS. NEW .YORK, Nov. 7. Chicago wheat quotations are: December, 1083 cents a bushel; May, 99§ cents; July, 94-J cents. New York, cash, 108 i cents.
