VETERANS’ VASE. Yesterday afternoon a strong rink from Terraco End. met the holders of the Veterans’ Vase on the Northern green. An interesting and enjoyable game resulted, the holders retaining the trophy by one point. On the 16th head Northern had a lead of 10 poinlfe, but in the next five heads Terrace End added 9. The teams were:—Terrace End: Knowles, Ashton, Thomas, Kershaw (skip) 19. Northern: Palmer, Thornley, Hodder, Robinson (skip) 20. The next challengers are Palmerston North.
