TIAKITAHUNA.

TIAKITAHUNA, Nov
There was a largo gathering of residents and children at the school grounds on Monday evening, when a fireworks display was hold to celebrate tho anniversary of Guy Fawkes. The huge pile of wood was set burning at about 8 p.m. and not a few were awed to silence as a most lifelike imitation of the plotter was burnt at the stake. When the flames had lost some of their fierceness numbers of fancy fireworks were set off and it. was not until tho embers of tho fire were becoming very low that an enjoyable evening was brought to a close. Mrs Rogers, o,f Now Plymouth, is spending a holiday as the guest of Misses Matheson. Mrs Bcvan, of Manakau, lias been staying for a few days with Mrs AV. Rowland. Mrs Holder, of Turakina Valley, is spending a holiday as the guest of Mrs D. Rowland.
