NOBEL PRIZE.
AWARDED TO PIRANDELLO
Received November 9, 10.5 a.m. STOCKHOLAI, Nov. 8. The Italian playwright. Luigi Pirandello, lias been awarded the Nobel Prize for literature.
Luigi Pirandello was horn in Sicily in 1867 and after writing several short stories and novels turned to drama. From 1913 lie wrote a succession of plays on which his imputation rests. His main theme has been the power and prevalence of illusion as the dominant factor in all lives. In 1930 Pirandello settled in America.
