CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 7. The crew of the Chatham Islands steamer Tees were paid off this morning and the vessel will be laid up indefinitely. This is the result of a dispute as to whether the crew should receive watersiders’ rates when they ■work cargo at the Chathams. The owners refuse this.
