Aiiss Alma Evans, Coogee Bay, New South Wales, is visiting her parents, Air and Airs T. J. Evans, Queen Street, beilding. Air D. b. A. Baker, of the Palmerston North Courthouse, is acting clerk of the Court at beilding during the absence of Alajor G. E. Pollock, who left to-day for a week’s refresher course at the Trentham military camp. ! Air and Airs R. Al. Watson returned to beilding to-day after a lengthy tour of the East. The many friends of Airs J. Southey Fowler, of Feilding, will be pleased to learn that she has returned to her home from hospital in Palmerston North and is making a good recovery from her recent severe illness. Latest advice received in beilding is to the effect that Dr. Burns Watson, son of Mr and Airs Thomas Watson, of Feilding, who was injured in a level erfossing accident at Invercargill recently, has made a splendid recovery and that all lie requires now is rest to restore liim to complete health. The second son of Air and Airs Matson, Rev. Alan Watson, of Christchurch, is also reported to have made a complete recovery from his recent operation.

Air J. Campbell, of Feilding, has returned after a holiday visit to Australia in company with Air G. AlcVicar, of beilding, who has also -returned.
