THREE WAYS OPEN

£OR AUSTRALIAN PRODUCERS.

PRIME MINISTER’S APPEAL,

MARKETING OE PRODUCTS. (United Pres 3 Association— By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received May 25, 11.25 a.m. CANBERRA, May 25. Sir J. A. Lyons is appealing to the Australian primary producers to be prepared to co-operate with the Government in any action that might have to be taken for the marketing of their products. The Prime Minister said Australians must decide whether they would con•tinue producing at the old rate and old conditions, thereby forcing the prices down to ruinous levels, whether they would restrict their output to the needs of their customers, or whether they would strike out boldly for new markets. Mr Lyons suggested the expansion of foreign markets as the most hopeful alternative to the restriction of exports.
