RAIL CAR FIRE.

CHRISTCHURCH, May 25. The battery rail car that has been used on .the Rangiora-Little River run for the last seven_years was badly damaged by fire last night when in the Christchurch railway yard. A fuse in the wiring is believed to have caused a spark which set the flooring alight. The blaze was put out with chemicals. The damage is estimated at about £2OO.
